Swift Action To Repair Power Break At Milford Sound Hotel

WELLINGTON, April 17. For 36 hours during the Easter holidays, the luxurious Government tourist hotel at Milford Sound was without power, after both generators of the hotel power unit had broken down.

Rapid organisation by officials of the Ministry of Works in Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin resulted in power being restored unexpectedly quickly. The generators failed on Thurs-
