£279,711 HANDLED ON SATURDAY (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 17. The Totalisator Agency Board yesterday handled £279,711 15s in investments on five meetings. Win-and-place bets totalled £140,632, and doubles £139,079 15s. Totals for the individual meetings, with the off-course substitutes, were:— Northern Wairoa, £16,427 15s (Red Iris). ' Cambridge, £53,020 10s (Baby Hawke’s Bay, £79,831 (IWcorne). Riccarton, £106,800 5s (Field Chief). Manawatu, £23,632 5s (Pointer).
