POSSIBLE TOUR BY HONG KONG

PROPOSALS SUBMITTED TO N.Z. BODY

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 17. The New Zealand Football Associate

has been advised by the Hong Kong association that it is willing to send a team to New Zealand in June or early July. Mr J. A. Cowie, acting-secretary and treasurer of the New Zealand council, visited Auckland today to discuss proposals with Auckland officials.

The terms submitted by the Hong Kong association were not disclosed, but it is understood that they are in excess of the New Zealand offer of £2OOO and 20 per cent, of the profits of nine games. Mr Cowie said that, if the Hong Kong terms were accepted, the tour would comprise eight games, two in each of the four main centres. If this eventuated, the provincial teams would comprise players chosen from the entire provinces and not merely from the metropolitan areas.
