TROTTING Brava Again In Active Work Under J. D. Litten

Six months ago, Mr G. J. Francis’s well performed pacer, Brava, broke down so badly that it was thought that his racing days were ended. He made such a remarkable recovery that his West Melton trainer, J. D. Litten, decided to try him again. He brought him into active work, and the U Scott six-year-old has come on so well X that he will probably be able to race again at the Forbury Park Club’s Winter meeting, which will open on April 30. Brava is to be tried in the free-for-all event at the Canterbury Owners’ and Breeders’ Association’s trials at Addington today, and his trip to Dunedin will depend on his showing in this contest. It is to be hoped that all goes well with Brava, for one more win over a distance will probably entitle him to a start in this year’s New Zealand Cup Th his best form, he would be a welcome addition to cup company Brava began his career as a two-year-old, and in that season his only glimpse of form from five starts was his fourth placing in the Oamaru Juvenile Stakes, won by Magician At three years, after being placed at Greymouth, he was taken to the Otaki Club's meeting, held at Hutt Park, where he won a double His first success was in a division of the Wai tohu Handicap, and his second in the Otaki Welcome Stakes, for three“earolds At his next start he finished third to his stablemate Fallacy and Forward in the New Zealand Stakes, and he ended the season with an unplaced effort. " Won Metropolitan Stakes From 13 starts as a four-year-old g^ va ®, on Metropolitan Stakes from Paia Royal, Aladdin and Fallacy, and the Cambridge Handicap
