CUST SUB-BRANCH The report presented at the annual meeting of the Cust sub-branch of the Plunket Society showed a successful year’s work. The retiring president (Mrs E. McLauchlan) thanked members for their generous-support. Mrs G. Glubb, of the Rangiora branch, presided, and congratulated the sub-branch on its achievements. The sum of £73 9s 3d was transferred to the building fund, making a total of £249 9s 3d, and £5 was contributed to Karitane Hospital and £2 to the central fund. Sister Mclntosh presented the following report: visits of babies to rooms, 214; birth notifications, 14; visits to babies in homes, 83; pre-school children under supervision, 51. Officers were elected as follows: Eatroness, Mrs F. Early; president, Mrs i. Ensor; vice-presidents, Mesdames R. Crawford and B. McKenna; hondrary secretary, Mrs E. McLauchlan; honorary treasurer, Mrs L. Thompson; assist-ant-secretary, Mrs S. Cooper; honorary auditor, Mr T. Lock; advisory board, Messrs T. Lock, A. Burnett, and J. Horrell; committee: Mesdames G. Wood, L. Grant, I. Scott, S. Cooper, F. McCall, A. Matthews, R. Hansen, W. Dodge, B. McKenna, C. Mehrtens, lan Graham, B. Gainsford, R. Crawford. L. McLauchlan, C. Turner, K. Gibson, and L. Blackmore; associate committee, Mesdames F. Kingsbury, D. Chapman, W. Fleming, Colin Tallott, G. Macdonald, R. Lovell-Smith, H. McKay, L. Elliott, J. Petrie, B. Currie, R. Catherwood, E. Bradley, L. Higginson, D. Hide, J. Jamieson, and S. White. Mrs W. Fleming gave a demonstration on floral art.
