UNIDENTIFIED MAN DROWNED
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 11. An unidentified elderly man. believed to be an Aucklander, was drowned when he fell between the Rangitata and Queen’s Wharf about 8 p.m. today. The man was seen to fall from z the wharf. His body was found and lifted from the water 10 minutes later. INJURED IN COLLISION Mr W. J. T. Watson, of 62A Cashel street, was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 12.40 p.m. yesterday with injuries suffered when two cars collided at the intersection of Armagh street and Oxford terrace. His condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory.
