J. S. HAMILTON-GIBBS WINS "The Press” Special Service T ~ „ WELLINGTON, April 11. J. S. Hamilton-Gibbs (Miramar) today beat J. B. Durry (Hutt), 3 and 2, in the final or the Wellington provincial golf championship at Paraparaumu. In the semi-finals Durry beat J. H. Woon (Shandon), 3 and 2. and HamiltonGibbs beat I. A. Ewen (Paraparaumu). 3 and 2.
W. G. Horne, the leading qualifier, was beaten in the first round yesterday; and the New Zealand open champion, R. J. Charles, was beaten in the next round. D. B. Dunn (Manor Park) beat Horne, 3 and 2; and Ewen beat Charles, 8 and .5. The course was in excellent order and the weather was ideal.
