MARANUI TROPHY WIN FOR TAYLOR’S MISTAKE The annual competitions between the Taylor’s Mistake Surf Club and the Sumner Surf Club for tba Maranui trophy was held j aaferday at the Sumner beach. The final paints were Taylor’s M, R>i mney 29. An unusually abort swim to the buoy caused mraawnt after the senior surf race. 7%e tategr appoarwd to bo about 440 yards from tho Mach. It was found that at feast 300 yards of the distance could be wmfed. Results were:— Junior Four-man Bescue.—Taylor’s Mistake 1, Sumner 2. Senior Surf Race—Garratt L W. Pasley 2, T, Hunter 3. Teams Race.—Taylor’s Mistake 1, Sum-Six-man Rescue.—Taylor’s Mistake and Sumner (equal) 1. Baata Belay.—Sumner 1, Taylor’s Mistake 2.
