GUN DOG TRIALS

CANTERBURY CLUB’S EVENTS The Canterbury Gun Dog Club held its •Pening trials for 1955 at the Waihora Club’s grounds, Motukarara, last Sunday. Although entries -were not as high as usual because of unsettled weather, the grounds were in very good condition and there were some fine performances. The judges were:—open class, Mr M. P. Leathern; limit, Mr C. J. Sowden; handicap event, Mr W. Streeter. Results Open, Land and Water Combined. —J. Stan tori and O. Hartley-Smith’s English springer spaniel Dalkey Dabble, 192 Poidts, 1.
