AUCKLAND HIDE AND SKINS SALE
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 8. Prices for hides were mainly steady at the levels of a fortnight ago at the Auckland auction today. Auckland abattoir ox hides again realised up to 13gd per lb, while light-weight cow hides made up to 15jd.
A small catalogue of 474 salted sheepskins sold at slightly firmer prices under brisk competition. Full-woolled skins made up to 29s each—the highest level since mid-October, while half-wools firmed to 14s 3d.
