FURTHER RISE IN LAKE LEVELS Further rain in the catchment areas in the last few days pushed the power storage in South Island lakes up to 147,000,000 units by 9 am. yesterday. This figure compares- with 206,320,000 units on February 24 last year. the State Hydro-electric Department said yesterday that Lake Pukaki was full, but the other main storage lakes—Tekapo, Coleridge and Mahinerangl—still have some way to go.
