CONFIDENCE IN MINISTER
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, February 23. Satisfaction with the appointment of the Minister of Works (Mr W. S. Gcosman) as chairman of the National Roads Board was expressed by members of the board at its meeting with the No. 7 District Roads Council at New Plymouth today. The president of the New Zealand
Counties’ Association (Mr W. A. Lee) said that he was happy to see the Minister become chairman of the board. He had been responsible for setting up the machinery which had brought the act into being, and because of his interest in the board, it was only appropriate that he should become chairman. Other members of the board, including Mr P. W. Breen (motorists’ representative* on the board) welcomed the forthcoming chairmanship of Mr Goosman.
