Beef Export Schedule Drops
A drop of 5s per 1001 b qn the first three grades of ox and heifer beef, and 10s per-1001b on the second grades is announced in the export schedule for South Island freezing works. Cow and boneless beef prices remain unaltered. The fall in prices is in sympathy with the fall in Smithfield values and the large accumulation in Britain of old season’s beef still in the hands of the Ministry of Food, prices of which have been sharply reduced.
