WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

ANNUAL OBSERVANCE TOMORROW (New Zealand Press Association; WELLINGTON, February 23. The annual World Day of Prayer will be observed on Friday as a witness to the reality of Christian hope all over the earth. From dawn in the Fiji Islands until darkness falls over the Arctic St. Lawrence, Christians will unite in a service of prayer, penitence, and dedication. Services will be held in churches throughout New Zealand. The author of the World Day of Prayer service for 1955 is Miss Jorgelina Lozada, of Argentina. Miss Lozada is an ordained pastor of the Disciples of Christ Church in Argentina, and served a Buenos Aires congregation for 20 years. In a message to New Zealand Miss Lozada says: 'The World Day of Prayer will bring me close to friends in more than 125 countries. It is a wonderful experience to bne who has always been interested in the people of many lands to find millions of Christians sharing the same thought. Abide in me.’
