AMERICAN CARS FOR TOURISTS
N.Z. TO ALLOW IMPORT UNDER LICENCE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 22. A number of large American cars is to be allowed into New Zealand for tourist transport The Customs ‘ Department is inviting applications from franchise holders for licences to import them. Each applicant must give full information as to the intended use of the vehicle and evidence of a firm order by the intending buyer. An assurance must also be given that the car will not be sold within two years of its entry into the country.
