Electrical Device For Anglers
(Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, February 21. German scientists have built an electrical device called a “Salmosuper” which makes fish give themselves up, reports the “Daily Express.” A positive line is put in the water. The negative is grounded. The fish arc attracted to the positive line. Just before the fish reach it, electrical impulses give them cramp. They can then be easily netted. Two men testing the apparatus in the Rhine caught 4001 b of fish in half an hour. Anglers are protesting, and laws may by passed to restrict “pushbutton” fishing, which threatens to clear German rivers.
