F. SHUTER WINS N.Z. BEACH TITLE
(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, February 20. A crowd of 6000 saw Frank Shuter, of Christchurch, drive his Edelbrock Special car to victory in the 40-mile New Zealand beach championship at Oreti Beach on Saturday. Ron Roy croft, of Auckland (BugaftiJaguar), was second, and Irving Hayes, of Invercargill (XKI2O Jaguar), third. Shuter led from the start, and was overtaken only once by Roycroft. After being in second position for about four miles, Shuter took the lead again on the sixth lap. After about 30 miles had been covered, Shuter and Roycroft had lapped the rest of the field. R. .Archibald, of Christchurch (A.C.E, Special) was forced to 1 retire in the eighth lap. . Results :
