'moving ladders for her, and erecting scaffolding. When she first started, Mrs Lloyd- . Jones had no idea of attempting the exterior, but the idea developed as her enthusiasm grew. The Lloyd-Joneses started painting 10 weeks ago, and their working day normally begins early in the morning and continues until about 6 p.m. Heights do not worry Mrs LloydJones. Before she could start on the house, she had the tedious job of sandpapering the whole of the outside by hand. It took a month of solid work. Eefore this big undertaking, she had painted the family bach at Shelly Beach, in Kaipara harbour, and also a 14ft 6in boat. I After Mr and Mrs Lloyd-Jones have completed their own home, their next painting job is the two-storey house next door, which they also own. Both Mr Lloyd-Jones and bis wife • were hairdressers, and have now retired. In their lovely antique wine cabinet, the couple have a bottle of champagne. “We are going to celebrate when the house is finished,” they 1 said.
