The weather forecast, issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 27 hours after the time of issue is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone is moving across the South Tasman Sea towards the South Island. Forecast for all districts: Light to moderate variable winds; weather fair to fine, with rising day temperatures; outlook: fine. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER Vester day in Christchurch was fine till yly evening, when drizzle began to fall. The maximum temperature v. 7 as 62.9 degrees. There was a light north-east wind. At midnight drizzle was falling and | there was a very light south-south-eart wind. The temperature was 52.2 degree*. The barometer, at 30.005 ' (MH7.5 millibars), was rising steadily.
