HEAVY TRADING AT CLOSE OF WEEK

Sales of shares listed in the miscellaneous section of the quotation list exceeded in volume the business written in this section for the first four days of the week on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Only two transactions were recorded on ’change, but a good volume of business, spread over several sections, was reported. Most parcels changed hands at unaltered prices, but G. J. Coles, in four transactions, fell by 2d to 15s. WoolwOrths, Ltd., also eased to sell at 14s Bd. National Insurance made a good gain in a sale at 28s.
