SHIP’S ENGINEER MISSING
A marine engineer who left the Union Steam Ship Company’s vessel Matua at Lyttelton last week has not been seen since Friday. He is Allan Malcolm Brown, aged 26, single, of Lower Hutt. At the request of his father, Mr D. A. Brown, the police at Lyttelton have begun inquiries as to Mr Brown’s whereabouts. The missing man is sft 7in tall, has dark hair and grey eyes. He was last seen wearing a green coloured double-breasted suit. He had signed off from the Matua, in which he had been fourth engineer.
