VISIT OF AUSTRALIAN MINESWEEPER
WELLINGTON INCLUDED IN ITINERARY (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 20. The Australian minesweeper Gpotamundra—expected in New Zealand waters late this month for visits to Waitangi and Auckland—will also visit Wellington. She will arrive at Wellington from Auckland cn February 14, and will leave again for Sydney on February 17, This will be after her crew have attended celebrations to mark the 144tb anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. The ship’s commander is LieutenantCommander T. Patch. She has a complement of 72. Three other warships will visit New Zealand from Australia before June. They will be the anti-submarine ship Quadrant, the aircraft carrier Sydney and the submarine Thorough.
