THOMSON TO DEFEND BRITISH TITLE
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, January 19. The Australian Peter Thomson has advised the British Professional Golfers' Association that he will defend his British open title this year and compete in other British tournaments. Thomson is also the British match-play champion.
