CEREMONY AT DUNTROON
NINE N.Z. CADETS GET DIPLOMAS (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) CANBERRA, Dec. 14. In an impressive' ceremony at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, today, 60 cadets including nine New Zealanders, received their graduation diplomas. The big parade ground was a blaze of colour as the full corps of cadets performed the spectacular ceremony. More than 1000 relatives and friends of the cadets and staff of the college watched the ceremony. The Chief of the New Zealand General Staff, Major-General W. G. Gentry, was greeted with a smart salute as he arrived on the parade ground before the ceremony. The Army Minister, Mr Josiah Francis, was also received by the ceremonial parade.. Nine New Zealand cadets received their diplomas. They were: W. J. Meldrum, T. B. Butson, B. Lambert, A. Harkness, T. G. Martin, D. G. Rodda, C. N. Dixon, A. C. Queree, and W. T. Collins.
