WATER POLO
Canterbury beat a team from H.M.N.Z.S. Black Prince by 6 goals to 4 in a water polo match in the Centennial pool on Saturday evening. N. Chambers (3), C. Chambers (2), and R. Henry scored for Canterbury, and E. Torr (2) and G. Bolton) and W. Gregory scored for the Black Prince. Two members of the Canterbury team, N. Chambers and C. Chambers, played in t 1.3 New Zealand water polo championships last season at Wanganui. The teams were:—Canterbury: N. Chambers, R. Henry, P. Breach, P. Hill, R. Freear, C. Chambers, D. Billinsen. H.M.N.Z.S. Black Prince: L. Logan, G. Bolton, E. Torr. W. Gregory, S. Syms, P. Thompson, G. Firth.
