STUD FARM SOLD FOR £15,619
87-ACRE PROPERTY AT LADBROOKS
"Ladbrooks Stud Farm,” the wellknown property of the late Mr Alfred Louissonwhich was sold at auction for £17,226 on August 25, was recently resold by tender for £15,619. The 87-acre farm, which was the home of the famous racehorse, Nigßtmarch, winner of the Melbourne Cup in 1929 and the New Zealand Cup in 1930, was farmed as a bloodstock breeding property by Mr Louisson for more than 20 years. Its new owner, Mr G. J. McDrury, is a Ladbrooks farmer.
After the property had been sold at auction in'August, consent to the sale was refused py the Land Valuation Committee on the ground of aggregation.
