The weather forecast for Canterbury, a- 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 27 hours following the time of issue'. Situation: an anti-cyclone north-east ' of the North Island is almost stationary, and a depression is passing southeastwards far to the south of New Zealand. Forecast: moderate northeast winds near the coast, northwesterlies inland; weather fair and warm. Outlook for Sunday: fair. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Light to moderate north-west winds; weather overcast and mild; further drizzle and rain. Outlook for Sunday: similar conditions.
