8.8. C. TELEVISION PROGRAMME
On the bight of the General Elsction in New Zealand, British television viewers will have the opportunity of seeing and hearing some of New Zealand’s politicians making their campaign speeches. A New Zealand company, Pacific Film Productions, Ltd., has been commissioned by the British Broadcasting Corporation to prepare a television newsreel. A gtart was made last everting when shots were taken Of the Minister of Education (Mr B. M. Algie) and the Minister of Industries and Cojnmerce (Mr J. T. Watts) 4 n Matthew’s Hall. To film a country election meeting, a cameraman will travel to Wainui, Banks Peninsula, this evening where Mr H. R. Lake, member of Parliament for Lyttelton, will be speaking. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) will be filmed at Auckland, and the Leader of the .Opposition (Mr Nash) and other Labour Party candidates are expected to be filmed in the North Island.
