FIRE-FIGHTING RAFT.—One bf the new fire-fighting rafts developed by the British Home Office for depots of the Auxiliary Fire Service situated near rivers and Sea. Nicknamed the Bikini,, the inflatable raft can be taken across mud and operated in shallow water. Three light-weight pumps are capable of throwing a total of 1000 gallons of water a minute. The raft has a speed of six knots and is guided by a jet of water from one of the motor pumps.
