NIEMAN FELLOW RETURNS TO NELSON
(From Our Own Reporter)NELSON, November 2. After a year in the United States, Mr G. L. Mead, of the “Nelson Evening Mail” literary staff, returned to Nelson yesterday. He was accompanied by his wife and two children. Mr Mead attended Harvard University as an associate Nieman Fellow, his studies being in the fields of international politics and American history. Since May he and his family have travelled 20,000 miles by car and trailer in Canada and the United States, crossing the continent three times. In Vancouver he worked for five weeks as correspondent of the Australian Associated Press at the British Empire Games.
