FRENCH CLUB
A varied programme was presented at a meeting of the Christchurch French Club on Friday night. Second-year pupils of the Christchurch West High School under Mr A. Mcßean, presented a sketch entitled “The Telegram”; Mr J. C. Benson .gave' a lecture on Touraine and the castles of the Loire, illustrated with lantern slides; Mr Clem Green (clarinet), accompanied by Mr R. (piano), played items; and the Technical High School orchestra trio played several Miss C. Robinson presided, and hosts for the evening were Messrs J. Parker, C. L. Low, A. Mcßean and J. C. Benson.
