SQUADRON TO HAVE HUNTER JETS
(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, October 1. A New Zealander, Squadron Leader R. E. Long, D.F.C. and bar, commands the crack Royal Air Force Fighter Squadron 43, which is to get the first of the new 700-miles-an-hour Hawker Hunter fighters on order for the Royal Air Force.
The squadron, based until recently at Tangmere, Sussex, is now in Scotland being re-equipped.
