Rural Fire Restrictions
Restrictions on the lighting of fires in rural fire districts came into force on Friday. It is illegal to start fires in any area defined as exotic forest or in adjoining country. This includes all State exotic plantations, and those of the North Canterbury Catchment Board and the Christchurch City Council. _____
