MAORI REPRESENTATIVE AT DEDICATION (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 2. Major Charles Bennett, a former commander of the Maori Battalion in the Middle East, has been added to the New Zealand contingent to attend the dedication of the Commonwealth War Memorial at El Alamein later this month. The selection of Major Bennett as representative of the Maori people in the contingent was announced by the Army Department today.
