SCIENCE CONGRESS IN 1957
MEETINGS LIKELY TO BE HELD IN DUNEDIN (New Zealand. Press Association) DUNEDIN, October 1. More than 1000 New Zealand and overseas scientists may attend a proiected congress of the Australian and Jew Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science, in Dunedin at the beginning of 1957. Association meetings are held at twoyear intervals in turn in each Australian State and New Zealand. The last New Zealand congress was held at Auckland in 1937.
The next association congress will be held in Melbourne in January-Febru-ary, 1955. It is expected that the New Zealand Government will then invite the central council of the association to hold the next meeting in Dunedin in January-February, 1957.
