BIG SUM PAYABLE TO BURMA CN:Z. Press Association— Comiright] TOYKO, September 25. Japan will pay Burma 250,000,000 dollars under a provisional reparations agreement signed between the two countries in Tokyo today. . Of this total 200.000,000 dollars will be paid over a 10-year period and the remainder in the form of loans and investments in joint Japanese-Burmese economic enterprises. A Joint communique said that Japan and Burma intended in the near future to sign a peace treaty at Rangoon. “Now that an amicable setlement has been reached on the reparations problem which has hitherto hindered the establishment of normal diplomatic relations betwen Japan and Burma, there is a firm basis for peace and closer friendship between the two countries,” the communique said.
