ARE RABBITS PESTS?
Sir,—l wish to advise “Producer” that I have one grand idea, but I could not expect “The Press” to publish it. We cannot compare this Government with the Labour Government. A depression had to be cleaned up, and on top of that, six years of war. It takes many years to reorganise a country after such a catastrophe. Labour did not go in under false pretences. Before the election Mr Holland almost shed tears for the poor people of this country.. He did not know how they were making ends meet. Now they cannot afford to buy meat. How the cats must love him! He removed price control, and where are we today? Fish, meat and rabbits are exported to receive high prices, and we are forced to pay the same or starve. Today a rabbit farm would pay handsomely.— Yours, etc. , FREEDOM FOR ALL September 27, 1954.
