The storage fell by 710,000 units in the 24 hours to 9 a.m. yesterday, reducing the total to 21,720,000 units. In the Municipal Electricity Department’s area, consumption in the corresponding period was 0.9 per cent, above the allocation.
Because the chairman (Mr G. Manning) and the engineer (Mr G. H. Battersby) are in Wellington attending a conference of power supply authorities, no meeting of the City Council’s electricity committee was held yesterday.
