RUGBY FOOTBALL FINAL SHIELD MATCH
D. D. WILSON UNLIKELY TO PLAY
D. D. Wilson, Canterbury first fiveeighths and best back. in the game against Wanganui on Wednesday, suffered injuries to muscles above the knee in that game and there is a doubt whether he will play for the province against Buller tomorrow in the final Ranfuly Shield match of the season. If Wilson is not available his place will be taken by J. J. Waine, of the Technical Club, who did well in several games earlier in the season. N. Roberts, No. 8 forward, has sufficiently recovered from an injury to his ear which kept him out of the game against Wanganui, to make him available for tomorrow’s match against Buller, which will be controlled by the Wanganui referee, Mr R. Penn.
