FUNERAL OF POLICE SERGEANT
The funeral of Sergeant Robert Henry, who died on Tuesday, was held yesterday at the Ruru Lawn Cemetery. It was attended by Mr D. Sugrue, Superintendent of the Christchurch Police District, Inspector D. McKenzie, Sub-Inspectors, F. J. Brady and J. C. Fletcher, and more than 30 other police officers from the district and the West Coast. <
Sergeant Henry, who had just comoleted 40 years’ service with the Police Force, was a prominent Joowler, and his funeral was attended by representatives of the Christchurch Bowling Centre and of many city bowling clubs.
