FENDALTON PARK
Sir, —I was very sorry to learn that the Fendalton Board has had to give up because the Waimairi County Council will not support it. The board has done a very good job indeed, and has created a great asset for the people of Fendalton. What is the matter with the Waimairi council? Apparently it is not interested in parks and reserves. If it is to take over the administration of Fendalton Park, it is to be hoped that it will make a better job than it does of the Fendalton Halt The hall is a disgrace to the district, and reflects the lack of interest in Fendalton by the members of the council.—Yours, etc., FENDALTON.
September 10. 1954. [The chairman of the Waimairi County Council (Mr F. W. Walter) said the council’s attitude was shown in the report of its meeting this week.!
