The Maori had his first Australian win at Rosehill yesterday, when he won the Second Three-year-old Maiden. The Maori was always well placed on the rails, and at the home turn his jockey, N. Telyar was hailed as a potential Derby winner after his effortless three-length win in the Second Parramatta Stakes. Finishing brilliantly along the inside rail from seventh at the turn, Telyar won as he liked. , Arabic was beaten by a length by Electro in the Rosehill Handicap.
