Miss Sonia Cox (Otago) displayed brilliant form to retain her singles title when the New Zealand badminton championships were concluded to the Avondale College gymnasium. A* L. Scott (Otago), toe third seeded player, won the men's title by beating P. D. Skelt (Southland). Results of finals were:— Meh's Singles.—A. L. Scott (Otago) beat P. D. Skelt (Southland), 15-9, 15-3. Women’s Singles.—Miss S. Cox (Otago) beat Mrs V. Gow (Auckland), 11-1, 11-1. Men’s Doubles.—P. D. Skelt and A. T. Skelt (Southland) beat J: Lewis and H.C. Brock (Auckland), 15-12, 15-2. Women's Doubles.—Miss A. McKenzie (North Otago) and Miss E. M. Meyer (Wellington) beat Miss Cox and Mrs D. Morrison (Wanganur), 8-15, 15-12, 17-M. Mixed Doubles.—A. T. Skelt and Miss A.
