MATCH WITH WELLINGTON (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 22. The New Zealand University Association football team was beaten by the Wellington representative team, 6-1, at the Basin Reserve yesterday. University's defence was poor. The University goalie, J. Rogers, was the outstanding player for his team, ■ University scored Its first arid only goal after 11 minutts’ play, vfhen a lapse in the Wellington defence allowed the centre forward, J. Phillips, to score. Wellington scored nine minutes later. The third goal of the-match was scored five minutes later, and the fourth after 36 minutes. Towards the end of the game R. Jeffery and R. Gilding scored for Wellington.
