NEWS FOR WOMEN Smart, Attractive Dresses At Trotting Club Meeting

The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Grand National meeting opened at Addington on -Saturday in almost ideal conditions, with mild, calm weather and a very good attendance. , The keenly-contested races aroused great Enthusiasm in "the Jar&e crowd, and the. music of the Woolston Brass Band pleasantly filled the intervals between races. The dressing of the women patrons was, on the whole, smart and attractive. Many suits were Worn, and pleated skirts challenged slim straight skirts for highest popularity.
