AUSTRALIANS BEAT NEW ZEALAND
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 22. The Australian University hockey team beat the New Zealand University team, 2-1, at Karori Park yesterday in a fast arid exciting game. The Australians were given two penalty bullies, arid scored from both. The Australians played their usual robust, long-passing type of game, in direct contrast to New Zealand’s short passing and controlled stick work. The outstanding player was undoubtedly the Australian - goalkeeper, L. Hailey.
