MOVING PICTURES

Sir,—l, too, like “M.T.,” am very concerned and disgusted at the degrading type of pictures shown in increasing numbers. No wonder we have juvenile delinquency—not all “juvenile” either! I believe the evil influence of such films is much more potent than of filthy comics, bad as they are. Tp my mind there is only one effective answer. If the public conscience were sufficiently aroused and we refused to support such anti-social films?" they would not be shown. If enough of us showed enough vision and courage, we could to make this little corner of the world a healthier place to live in. We owe it to our children, so let us stop just moaning about delinquency and do something worth-while. —Yours, etc., e MOTHER OF TEENAGERS. August 11, 1954.
