Straits Swim Fails.— Miss Florence Chadwick failed in her attempt to swim the treacherous Strait of Juan de Fuca, separating Victoria from Port Angeles, today, and was pulled, shivering, into her boat after just over five hours in the water.—Victoria (British Columbia), August 9.
