Parachute Jumps at Week-end. —Two more parachute descents were made by officers of the Christchurch Parachute Club at Harewood airport O“ Sunday afternoon. The club’s P^es 1 * dent, Mr Clive Nelson, for the flftn time, jumped from a 'Hger Moth aircraft at 1 p.m. Mr Ron Lloyd, th® secretary, made his fourth descent* Both landed on the sealed runway the centre of the airfield. By careful control and under the supervision oi the chief instructor. Mr K. J. Brown both men expertly avoided the soddet ground on either side of the runway There were about 400 spectators.
