ACCIDENTS

CAR LEAVES ROAD AND CAPSIZES TWO MEN INJURED (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, August 11. Two Christchurch men were injured when the car in which they were travelling to Invercargill left the road Woodlands and capsized about 11.20 p.m. yesterday They are Innes Hulston, aged 30, and Desmond Withers, aged 28. Mr Hulston, whose condition is reported to be satisfactory, is still in hospital with concussion, lacerations to the head and hands, and a suspected back injury. Mr Withers, who suffered lacerations and bruises, was discharged from hospital this morning.

CHILD SUFFERS HEAD INJURIES A young girl suffered head injuries when she was knocked down by a motor-cycle, near the Paphnui tram terminus about 5.30 p.m. yesterday. She is Sharon Beadle, aged 5, of 16 Morrison avenue. She was first taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital oy St. John Ambulance, but immeaiately transferred to the Burwood Hospital, where her condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory.
